Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
tierize.net (the “Service”) takes your privacy seriously and complies with applicable law. This policy explains what we collect, how it’s used and stored, and the rights you have.
1. What we collect
- Google account details (when you sign in) — the account identifier, email address, name and profile picture Google provides, used only to identify your account and manage your tier lists. We never receive or store your password.
- A one-way hash of your IP address (publishing) — for spam/abuse prevention and rate limiting. The raw IP is not stored.
- Content you create — tier list titles, items and uploaded images. Published lists are visible to anyone with the URL.
- Browser local storage — your in-progress draft and the claim codes proving ownership of your posts stay in your browser. Published tier lists themselves are stored on the server, linked to your signed-in account.
- Access logs — standard web server logs (time, page, user agent) for reliability and error analysis.
2. Cookies
Essential cookies keep basic functionality working. Third-party ad providers may also set cookies, described below. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; some features may stop working.
3. Advertising and third-party cookies (Google AdSense)
- Third-party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and opt out of many third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.
- More about how Google processes data: Google’s partner sites policy.
4. How data is used
- Providing the Service and publishing your tier lists
- Preventing spam, abuse and fraud
- Error analysis and quality improvements
- Compliance with legal obligations
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. It is processed only by the ad vendors described above and infrastructure providers (hosting, image storage, CDN) as needed to operate the Service, or when required by law.
6. Retention and deletion
Uploaded images and published lists are kept while they remain published. Unpublishing hides them; for permanent deletion, use the contact page.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or processing restriction of your personal data via the contact page.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. Changes
This policy may change with the Service or applicable law; changes and the updated date are posted on this page.
