Sneakers I Actually Wear: an Honest Daily-Rotation Tier List
Forget resale value and hype drops. The only question that matters here is whether I actually reach for a pair on a random Tuesday, so this is ranked purely by real wear frequency based on the past year, not what looks good on a shelf.

Nike
The pairs that leave my rack the most, by a wide margin, are still Air Force 1s and Dunks. Neither is reinventing anything, and that's the appeal; they simply never clash with whatever I've thrown on. When I can't decide what to wear on my feet, one of these wins by default.

Adidas
Samba and Gazelle have taken over my daily rotation again, which felt inevitable once they came back around. The slim, low-profile silhouette works under wide-leg pants and slim ones alike without fighting your outfit. No special cushioning story here, comfort was never the point.

New Balance
My feet genuinely remember the comfort of the 990 series the way you remember a good mattress; that dual-density foam just works without needing to be broken in. Funny watching the old dad shoe turn into a hip icon, but the comfort case never needed the hype.

ASICS
Gel cushioning comfort is the whole reason ASICS crossed over from running shoes into daily wear; you notice which shoes actually cushion after a few hours on your feet. Design options have widened a lot too, so it's not stuck looking purely athletic anymore.

Converse
Chuck Taylors are basically immortal as a design, they've looked right for decades and still do. But that flat, cushionless sole is a hard veto once a day involves more than a couple hours of standing. Great shoe to own, rough shoe to actually live in.

Vans
Everyone seems to own a pair of Old Skools, myself included, yet they get less actual wear than ownership numbers suggest. The flat sole and thin canvas make them a warm-weather shoe more than an everyday one. Great for a summer afternoon, then back in the closet till next year.

Puma
The Suede Classic still has real vibe, that low-key retro look that never quite dates. But in the actual shoe-rack tournament, grabbing whatever's closest to the door, it keeps losing seeds to the Adidas and Nike pairs right next to it. A good shoe that's somehow still an afterthought.

Reebok
I'll give the Club C this much: a genuinely clean, minimal look that ages well. But that's about where the case for Reebok ends for me. Beyond that one pair, I can't find a reason to reach for the brand over Adidas or New Balance in the same lane.
